Poster Series: Album Covers

I created this poster series as a project for my Art History II class. Our assignment was to make something influenced by a historical art movement, but to make it our own. The style I chose was orphism, which is a form of abstraction that focuses on light, color, and shape. I decided to design posters based on three albums, taking inspiration both from their album covers and from orphism. The cover art for each of these albums already feature interesting shapes and colors, and musically, I am a big fan of all three. Although I started this project as just a class assignment, I ended it with three pieces of art that I am really proud of and I really enjoy.
